So you need to get ready for the season...

With as cold as it was today, I know that every person who owns a pair of skis or a snowboard have been dreaming about setting foot on snow in a month and a half. Well take the advice of myself and get yo-self prepared to take on those gnarly double black diamond EX's.

First off: You are most likely out of shape from eating CookOut and watching countless winter edits. So start stretching and stay active so your muscles are not dead for the following week after the first day of shreddage.

Secondly: Now go take a few stops by your favorite local ski and snowboard shop, The Board Room Knoxville, Alpine, or Plutos. (Now I may support The Board Room a lot, but what it all comes down to is get yourself to a local shop and get the best advice possible along with supporting the local scene. The "Shops" online are nothing compared to these guys.) This will give you a solid opportunity to collect all the outerwear that will make you stick out on the mountain so you can get some recognition.

On to the next one: GO GET THAT EQUIPMENT TUNED UP! It is always smart to drop your gear off at the shop so they can make sure you are as safe as possible on the mountain. even your Most Advanced riders should do this.

Almost done: Pack up that car, put on the most Gnarly tunes you have and drive to Lynchburg, Virginia and try your hand at Snowflex. As good to snow as you can get, Snowflex is a year round resort that is only a few hours away. I was just up there this past weekend dialing in some new tricks and old tricks So I can hit this season off on the best note....Backyard Jam sessions will equally do the trick.

LASTLY: Keep dreaming about snow and be safe out there, respect the mountain, the park, your fellow riders, and stay pointed down hill
